A few months ago French printing house Imprimerie Pollina contracted Dovak Industrial Services for a color control upgrade of their Goss M600-C press. The brand new Omnicolor II system was installed at the factory in Luçon and has now been in production for some time.
The Omnicolor II upgrade offers multiple benefits to the user. It includes the latest version of the Omnicon software and brand new touch control screens. The system allows for further reduction of machine downtime and paper waste, and the upgrade also ensures the availability of spare parts for a long time to come.
As part of the upgrade, Pollina decided to also modernize the ink fountain keys of the printing units. New servomotors were installed with integrated
potentiometers, for more precise and reliable corrections. Laurent Pollina, the company’s president, is very satisfied with his upgraded system. ‘We are particularly enthusiastic about the immediate reduction in paper waste. The upgrade has now been in place for two months and we are still very happy that we decided to implement it. The installation by Dovak went very well and the purchase has turned out to be a real success.’
In cooperation with Goss, this operation was carried out in four days by the Dovak Industrial Services B.V. team, the only authorized Goss service partner. Dovak technicians also ensured the restart, assistance and training of the Pollina teams. This is the sixth color control upgrade that
Dovak has executed in recent years.
